ID Lines
ID lines are used to show a member's position, rank, and where they are stationed in the fleet. They should be used on all official EH business and emails. That way, other members will know who you are and you will know know who they are.
It's considered good email etiquette to only use one ID line in an email,
usually the one relating to the contents of the email and who is to receive
it, i.e.. TIE Corps ID line for TIE Corps emails, Dark Brotherhood ID line for
Dark Brotherhood emails and so on. Individual SubGroups use different formats for their ID line, details of which can be found in their own training material.
How to display your ID line:
The general format for TIE Corps ID Lines is shown below:
Position/Rank Member Name/Position Designation/Ship
Medals/Highest to lowest, [FCHG ranking], {IWATS courses completed}
Example ID line:
FM/SL Joe/Alpha 3-4/Wing I/SSSD Sovereign GS/ISM [GALL] {IWATS}
As you may have noticed, the actual ID line and the four tail sections
are separated by commas or are each on it's own line. The first section
designations and medals are separated by forward slashes / . The only use of
brackets of any kind are permitted in the FCHG, DB, and IWATS sections.
Here is a more comprehensive example:
XO-FSE/SA Astatine/CS-2/SSSD Sovereign
MoH/ICx2/OoR/GOE/GSx2/SS/BSx3/PC/ISM/MoI-DC/IS-2BR-3GR-2PR/LoC-Rx1/
MoC-1BoC-2SoC-2GoC-1PoC/CoS/CoE/CoLx2/LoAx3/OV-4E [GREN] {IWATS-IIC/1/2-LIN}
Fleet Commander's Honor Guard (FCHG) Section:
The FCHG section is the least complex of the four tail sections. You
simply place the abbreviation (shown below) for your FCHG rank. For more
information on the FCHG, check the Tactical Officer site.
